Episode 56: Lifer Bakery
A small Israeli bakery in downtown San Francisco has offered jobs to dozens of lifers just out of prison. Four employees share their stories of adjusting to life on the outside while working at Frena Bakery.
Thanks to Peder Coleman and Dave Monroe for also talking about their time at Frena.
A few days after this episode aired, we got some happy news: Frena Bakery is open again (three days a week as of May).
This episode was scored with music by Antwan Williams, Rhashiyd Zinnamon, and David Jassy.
As always, big thanks to Lt. Sam Robinson and Acting Warden Ron Broomfield for their support of the show.
